I am the Sustainable Seafood Campaigner for Living Oceans Society. During my time at SeaChoice, I have contributed to the partnership’s overall strategy and markets initiatives, and worked with major retailers on their sustainable seafood commitments. As the sustainable seafood movement matures, I am excited to play a role in SeaChoice’s new direction. My work includes our efforts to improve seafood eco-certifications, rankings, claims and labelling, with a focus on aquaculture.
I have worked on sustainable seafood issues for a decade, which includes working for the two major seafood sustainability programs in Canada (first Ocean Wise Seafood Program, and now SeaChoice). Although I work remotely for SeaChoice from the other side of the Pacific Ocean — in Tasmania — this blue planet and my passion for it has no borders (but my Google calendar sure knows time zones!)
I hold a BSc in Applied Science, Conservation Management from the University of Queensland.
