John is the Fisheries Science and Policy Analyst at David Suzuki Foundation, and is an adjunct professor at the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability at the University of British Columbia. He has over 20 years of experience in fisheries and marine conservation. While John’s academic research has focused on the intersection of fisheries and food production, he has contributed to a broad array of research and conservation efforts over his career, including an award-winning collaborative effort to reduce and manage a major Canadian fishery’s impacts on marine habitat. John lives in Vancouver with his partner and their two kids.
